WARNING !!!! STEEP CHAMBER IS POLYCARBONATE !!!!! : Adagio Teas triniTea Electric 32-Ounce Tea Maker

After one month of service I noticed the paint in the upper compartment, where you add water, is blistering and peeling. I wrote the manufacture to see if this is normal. I will continue to use it but will filter the teas one more time before drinking it.

I decided to throw out the unit as I was uncertain as to whether or not the coating (pieces or chemicals) were going into my tea.
